Katana Mingwang Damascus Folded Black Saya 冥王
Katana Mingwang | Damascus Steel Folded Blade | Polished Edge | Feather-Pattern Black Saya
The Mingwang (“Radiant King”) is a full-tang katana forged from Damascus folded steel, where layered patterns ripple across the blade like flowing mist over stone. This natural grain reflects the process of repetition and refinement — strength formed through patience and quiet endurance.
The blade features a smooth, reflective curvature, carrying a sense of restrained power. The dark tsuba introduces a grounded presence, while the alloy fuchi and kashira unify the mounting with steady composure and visual balance.
The tsuka is wrapped in black ito, forming the classic diamond-pattern grip that feels balanced, confident, and secure in hand, with a subtle white core showing through the pattern. The saya is black with delicate feather-like markings and is paired with a black sageo, adding a quiet sense of lightness, like motion preserved in stillness.
The Mingwang katana embodies authority expressed without voice — a blade whose presence speaks for itself, calm and unwavering.
